MIDA Project Area
This feature class shows the overall MIDA Project Area. Property owners can choose to join MIDA if they are within the MIDA Control Area (see that extent in Enterprise feature class MIDA_ProjectArea). If they join, their land forms a new "project part," shown as a polygon in this feature class.
Helpful MIDA vocabulary summary:
MIDA Control Area: Area where landowners are eligible to join MIDA, and get tax incentives if they do.
MIDA Land-Use Control Area: Part of the MIDA Control Area that is under MIDA jurisdiction, similar to if it was a municipality. (Sometimes MIDA calls this the MIDA Control Area, which is confusing.)
MIDA Wasatch: (Unofficial name) Part of the MIDA Control Area that are under Wasatch County jurisdiction. (It is outside the MIDA Land-Use Control Area and are in unincorporated county.)
MIDA Hideout: (Unofficial name) Part of the MIDA Control Area that are under Hideout jurisdiction. (It is outside the MIDA Land-Use Control Area and are in Hideout city.)
MIDA Project Area: Land in the MIDA Control Area where landowners have actually joined the MIDA development project. Is split into project parts that get added to over time as more owners join.
